Wir zeigen Ihnen, wie Sie Ihr eigenes buchähnliches Post-Smartphone-Bildungsinstrument zusammenstellen und personalisieren können.
Inspiriert von Neal Stephensons post-cyberpunk Young Lady's Illustrated Primer, ist "Personal primer" ein post-smartphone, buchähnliches Make-your-own-Device-Bildungsinstrument, das aus der Forschung von Daniel "hromi" Hromada (slowakischer Ex-Hacker und derzeitiger Juniorprofessor für digitale Bildung an der Universität der Künste Berlin) hervorgegangen ist.
In diesem Workshop werden die Teilnehmer lernen, wie sie:
1) ein neues Fibel-Artefakt aus handelsüblichen Komponenten (Raspberry Pi Zero, E-Ink-Bildschirm) herstellen
2) es mit Inhalten zu füllen
3) mittels modernster Spracherkennung und berührungslosem Gestensensor mit ihm interagieren
4) das Projekt zu erweitern, indem man das Git Repo von Primer forkt
5) seine Hardware und Software zu personalisieren
This is a very hands-on workshop It is about bringing into existence a fully functional Bildunginstrument and an embooked-AI artefact which didn't exist before the workshop.
It is "holistic full stack" in a sense that we will address all levels of abstraction from Physics (Current, Voltage, batteries, solar panels) through electrical engineering (PCBs, sensors, i2c, spi, e-ink) informatics (Raspberry Pi, fnord, operating system) and coding (python) to AI (speech recognition).

Daniel "hromi" Hromada is since August 2018 UdK’s Juniorprofessor for Digital Education at Berlin University of the Arts . Born in Bratislava, he holds academic diverse diplomas in diverse disciplines which is actually quite fnordin irrelevant in context of this CCC submission. What is more relevant, however, that after having discovered Rushkoff's Kyberia when he was fourteen, hromi started downloading exploits from rootshell.com when he was fifteen, started deploying them on a mass scale (hello linsniff.c!) when he was sixteen and got beaten by angry admins when he was seventeen. Since then, he applies strict greyhat policy to hacking, founded Slovak digital community kyberia.sk and co-founded now defunt 1st slovak hackerspace progressbar.sk.
